The Artwork’s Story:

‘The return to the joys of the simple life.’

Sometimes its the simple pleasures in life that really give us extraordinary sense of pleasure and the feeling of being grounded and connected to mother-nature. Here we see a couple park up their bicycles and sit beneath the oak tree. This distinctive original painting has hints of Art Deco to it and the tree appears to shimmer with a sense of being 3-dimensional thanks to the use of the metallic paints I have used. This piece is truly contemporary yet timeless, it may remind you of 1930’s art deco patterns, but equally it may take you to a time period far into the future.
